Our Bedtime Routine

James aficionados may remember that the first song he ever sang along to was "A Pirate's Life for Me (Yo Ho)." Now it is the last thing he hears every night, because he requests I sing it after we say prayers.

Wow Tat! I'm amazed that you know the words! What we mom's will do for our children. James is so lucky to have you. Lexi's nighttime song for the past few months has been "Itsy, Bitsy Spider." or as she says, "Ibby, Bibby, Bider." And she's actually singing along to most of the words with us now, it's so cute!

Wyatt had a whole bunch of songs he used to request that we sing while snuggling in the rocking chair. We called it our "rocka rocka" time. He has grown out of it now but they are precious memories. Next, it will be Mallory's turn for rocka rocka.

What a sweet little video! I am so impressed that you know all the words to that song. Maybe if I had your amazing voice my kids would request a song after prayers. As it is, they prefer a piggy back ride from Dad.

I have great memories dancing to my mom as she played the piano. She didn't sing much, but I do remember requesting all our favorites. Memories like those are priceless.
Dan and I babysat Annie a little while ago. It was the cutest thing to see Dan singing his little niece to sleep.
I have to laugh because he managed to make the Battle Hymn of the Republic sound like a lullaby.

Wow you guys, he is so cute!! I bet Grandmas and Grandpas are really missing him!! He just has such a sweet face and seems like such a great little guy. You've done good!! Great singing too! Madi is into some of the Micheal McClean songs so I've been singing those to her.. It's great how little minds work isn't it! You're both great parents! Have a great day.
