Sometimes I Am Shallow

The season finale of Bones is airing tonight (8/7 c on Fox), which means that I will be able to see it as soon as it is available for download from iTunes. . . the second it is available for download from iTunes. I do not exaggerate when I say that this is the number one thing I have been looking forward to all week. Does anyone out there among my blog readership (i.e. the nine-or-so of you) feel the same way? Or do you all have lives imbued with actual meaning?

no bones love here. but only because i'm already too addicted to too many other tv shows. i don't have room for anymore! :) tv is my relaxation "drug."

I'm excited to see it; but, I'm more excited to see you see it.

I don't watch t.v. This is not to say that I lead a productive life filled with meaning and recognizable achievement, however.
It simply means that we have a semi-functional t.v. (that must be warmed up for an hour before it stops blinking) with a marginal picture and no cable. Thus, little motivation to watch.
I get an inordinate amount of delight from checking blogs and smelling yeast rise. :D I need to get out more.

I watch far too much TV, but it has contributed to my vast wealth of knowledge more than books ever have...

of course I won't be letting my children read this blog comment...

my theoretical children that I do not have...

I like TV a lot.

Sorry Tat, I haven't ever seen it. We don't get TV reception in our neck of the woods without paying for it...So we buy movies on DVD's to watch. Enjoy it though! It's great to have a favorite show!

I have watched Bones a couple of times but it's not on at a convenient time so I have avoided getting addicted. We are more into Lost--so I know the feeling of anticipation!

I'm good at wasting my time by checking blogs. I hope Annie isn't too frustrated with me! Brent and I will watch a movie occasionally, and I broke down a few days ago and watched Baby Signing Time! with Annie -- even though I was going to be good and not rot her brain too early.

We are actually tv-ignorant. This is partly because our tv gets about 1.5 channels. Actually, David was singing the theme song tonight for "PBS kids" which is really the only thing we ever watch. I always feel out of the loop when people talk about real shows.

Oh p.s. I forgot to answer your question. If one wanted to make a magnet board, one would go to the hardware store and buy a sheet of hammered metal... there is probably a more correct term for this mind, you... and then one would nail it to a piece of wood. Since my wood and metal were exactly the same size, there was kind of a rough edge on the metal, so I edged the entire thing in electrical tape. Really fancy, I know. But the rough edge could be avoided by cutting your wood slightly larger than your metal sheet, so there would be a wooden edge all the way around. Do this any size you want-- I wanted it big, so mine is 24" x 36". Dave screwed in some hooks and wire and hung it on the wall for me. We really love it. I wouldn't mind making another one.

I never even considered I tunes. Dan loves bones, but we never really stay on top of any shows...we are watching alias on demand right now and it only has 3 series that we can watch. I've been trying to think now to get the next 2.problem could be solved! Thanks!

meaning? toughie. I'm just really busy all the time. which is not to say I'm not shallow.
I often fantasize that I had one of those Calvin & Hobbes duplicator machines, so I could make other Eriks to just play video games and watch tv and movies all day. in another life, perhaps . . .
